Do you think my dog is sick?

So, my dog has been acting sick latley, but we dont really have the money to take her to the vet. Can anyone tell me if these symptoms describe a sick dog? And if so, do you think it’s bad?

Symptoms:
- looks dizzy
- won’t drink water
- loss of energy
- holds head up at all times
- keeps licking the air

On the other hand, her nose is wet & her head isn’t hot. Are those good signs?
Thank you soo much.
Thanks guys. I’m leaving now to see the vet. Ya’ll are awesome.

If your dog is acting dramatically different than she usually does, there is probably something going on. It’s definitely worth getting checked out. Call your local vet’s office and ask them if they would be willing to talk to you about a payment plan for services. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to get Care Credit to help you pay off your bill. You can read about Care Credit here: http://www.carecredit.com/vetmed/

Good luck!

I think your dog is very sick, and need to be taken to the vet. If she is not drinking water she going to become dehydrated very quickly, and animals can die without water.

sounds like she is feeling a bit nauseous has she vomited? you need to take her to the vet if she wont drink she could become dehydrated very quickly if she does start vomiting i would encourage her to drink at home rub water from the bowl on her lips but i do think she needs to see a vet maybe in future you should look into getting pet insurance to help pay for vet bills

Yes, a lack of energy, not drinking, and holding his head up all the time indicate that he needs a visit to the vet. A wet nose proves nothing except that he might have been panting or he licked his nose. If you are looking for a fever, than you need to take a rectal temperature. Actually your vet will do that for you during the visit.

Yes your dog is sick and yes, it’s serious. The fact that your dog is not drinking water would be enough to make me take it to the vet.

Part of owning a dog is ensuring that you put aside enough money to cover not only normal medical expenses (shots, checkups, neuter/spay, etc.) but emergency medical expenses. Call your vet and make some sort of financial agreement so you can have your dog treated or surrender her to someone who can afford to care for her.

it may have cancer if there is blood or mucus comong out from her nose continously .please force it to drink water or mix some glucose and give it if it is not doing these things put glucose (saline water) if it dont dose thes all it cannot survive.if it is too late to take it to a doctor in 3 to 4 months there is no chance of survival if it exceeds this period.

Several of the signs you are describing are neurological in nature……so yes, it is bad. If she is not drinking water she will quickly get dehydrated (that too is very bad). My strong recommendation would be to cut something out of the budget elsewhere and take her to the veterinarian immediately.

    Good Luck!
